 Somma Aire® S-40 Airbed
Somma Aire Sleep Systems are designed to enhance air’s natural advantages, cradling the contours of your body like a heavenly cloud and responding to your every move. The digital controls allow you to adjust the firmness of either side of your bed with dual air chambers that create a custom sleep environment for you and your partner.
Like all of our Sleep Systems, the S-40 uses our patented "Perfect Fit" contoured foam rails which relieve stress on the side panel, keeping the sides of the Somma Aire 4 Star airbed straight and true. The S-40 also includes a foam divider between the two air chambers to help keep each sleeper's firmness adjustments to themselves.
Technologically advanced Smart and Quiet pump is a computerized air compressor which adjusts to different weights and body types. Operating at below ambient bedroom noise levels, the Smart System features a solid state LED digital readout and programmable memory to save your favorite comfort settings; similar to that in luxury automobile seats--eliminates the guesswork when changing settings.
Originally developed for critical military applications, the computerized pressure transducer (one for each side) are calibrated and laser trimmed for accuracy andlinearity. Linear compressor technology results in better performance, less problems and longer life. The pressure targets at each numeric setting on the Smart System are on a curve to match human perception of pressure. Unlike many digital read-outs on the market which fail to accurately read the consistant air pressure in the chamber, the Somma Aire's "Smart and Quiet" System displays the correct firmness level at all times. Dual handheld controls operate your firmness settings and a firmness memory in Somma's exclusive Smart and Quiet Pump. The digital air control system adds microprocessor control to the lighted digital display. State-of-the-art circuitry assures you of a long-lasting, maintenance-free performance.
